General Information |
Wood is the key characteristic design element of TIMBA. The name was chosen due to its phonetic similarity to the word “timber”. A characteristic of the TIMBA table is the “turntable” in the centre of the table top. It covers the recessed hollow of the “Power Bowl”, where power and network connections can be found. It also functions as a decorative storage place: Pens, notepads and other essentials can be placed here. If you want to connect any equipment, then it is easy to twist the turntable in either direction to immediately reveal and access the connectors. The turntable is available in two shapes, depending on the geometry and size of the table top: either circular or rectangular with gently rounded corners. The TIMBA table encourages spontaneity. If coupled with seating of an appropriate height, such as the TIMBA stool high, you can comfortably sit at this level or simply stand next to it. Coming and going – seated or standing, communication remains always at eye level – an application which is especially popular in more informal areas. |
